A seasoned IT professional, Mal started as a software developer at a very young age, after which, was a career contractor for almost twenty years providing senior technical and IT management consulting services to a bunch of NZ government departments and Councils and a large variety of enterprise organisations across Australasia, many of which are common household names.
He was directly involved with the development & implementation of a number of products and technologies which are now taken for granted 'as standard', and worked directly for global research & tech companies including IBM, Compag/HP and JPL, as well as across a broad range of industries.
Nowadays Mal's attention is turned to mdctech and servicing our small business clients and all of their technology requirements.

Where possible, we always try to repair and refurbish second hand IT equipment we have replaced for our clients. We then donate these 'new lease of life' computers to kids or young families in need as homework PC's or similar.
We strongly believe that all children should have access to a computer to assist their learning, and strive to fill some of that need.
